Change the Story is a project of Christian Aid that seeks to turn the tide of unfavourable reporting about refugees. It asks supporters to write to newspapers and other media outlets asking refugees to be treated fairly and with respect. The project seeks to tells stories that uphold those escaping injustice and war and celebrate those who offer a welcome. Christian Aid believes that all are created equal in the image of God and stands for United Kingdom that refuses to ignore the suffering of people seeking sanctuary.
Through sharing stories of hospitality, and the positive contributions that refugees make in our communities, Change the Story demonstrates commitment to a United Kingdom that refuses to turn a blind eye to suffering and affirms that everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
